Next version of operating system, Windows 7 will be available to the customers by the end of this year. Also the final product of Windows server 2008 R2 Release candidate (RC) would be released around the same time.

Indian team announced for T20 World cup

India has announced its team for T20 world cup to be held next month in England. The team will be leaded by Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The 15 members of the team are M S Dhoni, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Yusuf Pathan, Rohit Sharma, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, Praveen Kumar, R P Singh, Ravindra Jadeja, Prayagan Ojha and Irfan Pathan.

Tata received over 2 lakh bookings for nano

Tata motors has received 2.03 bookings for nano. It is more than double the number of cars allotted for delivery. Out of these booking 70 percent were financed and 30 percent are through cash payment. About 4,000 cash bookings are made through their website www.tatnano.com .

ISRO launched spy satellite

ISRO launched an Israeli built spy satellite on 20th April at 6:45 am from Satish Dhawan space centre at Sriharikotta. The satellite will keep an eye on the country’s border round the clock. The PSLV-C12 was carrying the 300 Kg Radar imaging satellite (RISAT-2) and 40 kg micro educational satellite ANUSAT. RISAT-2 has a life span of three years and ANUSAT, one year. ANUSAT has been built by Anna University.

The second edition of the Indian Premier League will start from today at Newlands Stadium (Cape Town). Two matches will be played on day one. The schedule for the matches is as follows.
1. Chennai Super kings Vs Mumbai Indians at 4 pm.

Tech Mahindra acquire 31 percent stake in Satyam Computer.

Tech mahindra emerged as the highest bidder to acquire Satyam computer. It will pay Rs. 1,756 crore to buy 31 percent stake in the company. Tech Mahindra will make an open offer for another 20 percent stake in the company.

Sachin Tendulkar unveiled his wax replica.

Sachin Tendulakar became the first Indian sportsperson whose wax statue will be placed at Madame Tussauds museum of London. The wax replica was unveiled by Sachin Tendulkar at Mumbai which will be inaugurated at the Tussauds on April 24, his birthday.

Wisden has included five indian cricketers in his first ever Dream test XI. .The five cricketers includes Virender sehwag, Sachin tendulkar, Harbhajan Singh, M.S.Dhoni and Zaheer khan. The publication has also named Virender Sehwag as the leading cricketer of the year 2008.

Nano booking starts from today

The booking for the dream car Nano has started today. Tata is looking at accepting the 1,00,000 bookings initially in the first phase. The application form is priced at Rs. 300 each.

Airtel started fastest broadband sevices.

Bharti Airtel has launched the fastest wireline broadband services on DSL with a speed of 16 Mbps which is double than the presently available speed. Initially this service will be available in Delhi NCR, Chennai and Bangalore. This service is available in two plans i.e. Speed combo 2999 and speed combo 4999.

Maruti to launch new car Ritz.

Maruti Suzuki India limited is launching its sixth global car, Ritz, in mid of May. It will come up with a 1.2 litre KB series petrol and 1.3 litre multijet diesel engine. The car will be positioned in between the A-star and the Swift. The Ritz would be prized around Rs. 5 lakh. It will be shorter than swift but will be spacious than it. The Ritz is known as Splash in Europe.

Protests against the G-20 summit in London

G-20 summit going on in London is protested by a number of human rights and other groups because this summit will cost nearly £20 billion to the treasury. Protestors are camping all over the London. They are asking the British prime minister that why they are hosting a summit when thousands of Britons are jobless and the crisis due to meltdown is deepening.
